Alex Minasian is a New York-based pianist, musical director, and educator known for his versatility across jazz and soul genres. A graduate of NYU, he studied under legends like Hank Jones and Don Friedman, and has performed at top venues including the Blue Note, Birdland, and Jazz at Lincoln Center. Alex has shared the stage with icons such as QUESTLOVE, Arturo Sandoval, Billy Vera, and the late Little Jimmy Scott. He currently tours with Little Anthony and the Imperials and soul legend Candi Staton. His trio Hanky Panky – formed with Brandi Disterheft and Steve Williams – has appeared at international festivals and was even featured in Orange Is the New Black. With a weekly residency at Tavern on the Green and a passion for honoring jazz traditions, Alex continues to bridge generations of music with deep skill & soul
